Sony Ericsson X1 SDK - Build your own Panels!

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

Today the much talked, yet late, about Sony Ericsson X1 SDK was released.

This puts to bed any rumours of its death… Which is a good thing as I’ve got a few people who are awaiting this device with bated breath… (I’m one of them)

A great thing for us developers though has to be that SE have opened up one of the phones best features, its panel based UI, to developers in the form of this SDK.

I’ve just installed it, along side Google’s new borwser Chrome but that’s another post, and I’ll let you know if there is anything worthy of a post.

Andriod (HTC Dream) is a coming in September!

Well to the T-Mobile US anyway…

I’ve been playing (literally) with the latest SDK (java in eclipse) and it’s not to bad, basic, but will do for ev i al purposes.

I can only really tell about it when I get hold of a device… I’m bound to be able to at least gawk at one around about that time, so watch this space…
